Private school recommendations?
Hello,
I wanted to ask those of you who are already in Oz either Sunshine coast/gold coast around Brisbane and who have kiddies in school.
I cant seem to find any info on the ratings or results of schools so my first question is .. Where can i find this info if at all? My second question is can anyone recommend their child school? My son will start school in Oz from prep or primary class and as the general concensus is that private schools are generally better and more affordable over there we have the option of going private. However I'd be just as happy with a state school if it was really good.
Thanks ever so much
M J

Sheldon College in the Redlandshire. Dr Bishop (Head Mistress) has good strong values & morals with excellent academic results too. Fantastic location & facilities. Zero tolerance of bullying, open door policy.
We looked at many state schools in the area, the junior schools are great, but would suggest private for year 8 & up. If you're used to secondary schools with graffiti & truancy, then the state schools are fine - it's a personal thing.
We moved into this area so that our kids could attend Sheldon & have the best possible start in life - like I said, it's a personal thing, but check out:

Hi Jacksoo,
I've had a look and it looks really good. Thanks ever so much.
Can i ask what the fees are like as they seem to vary from school to school?

I think about $600 a term, but pre-school would probably be cheaper. If you're thinking of moving to the area it's worth a visit. Let me know if I can help some more

Just to check .. there are only 4 terms right? That cant be right can it? I was expecting it to be around $2000 a term. Mind you i was getting that idea from looking at the overseas student costs so perhaps they are vastly different?
Thanks M J
