Which Private Health Insurance?
We have just got our reciprocal medicare cards [we're on a 496 Skilled - Designated Area Sponsored - by family VISA so have to wait 2 years to go from provisional status to resident status] does anyone have informed thoughts on WHICH private healthcare insurer to use, why and at what cost?
We appreciate that the ones that do gap cover (NIB etc) are no good for us - they don't cover temporary visa holders [which is our official categorisation for the next 22 months!).

Be careful of Iselect as they only have some of the providers and not all of the bigger ones.
We went with Medbank but you will need to go round each of them and put in your circumstances and get the price as they vary tremendously!!
