Does anyone have a straight forward figure as to how much I would expect to pay for two adults aged under 40 years and three children under 5 in oz? I have heard it is best to get private health cover. But I had previously thought they had similar care to the uk? Anyone any knowledge?

We are with Medibank, 2 Adults and 2 Children, opted not to take dental, physio, chirpractor ans optical cover and pay $134/month. Will be taking full cover shortly at about $150/month. I am 39 but as long as you take it out within 12 months of arriving you don not have to pay the 2% loading for each year you are over 30 so we are saving 18% and 16% respectively.
