Default Primary Schools around Como, Perth

Looking to move to Como or a nearby suburb and would like to get recommendations on good state primary schools. I assume that the catchment area rule still applies.

I've been working through the WA State Govt website of schools but have found a number of the school websites/links to be out of date. Not all schools have email contact points either.
Other than Como I am also looking at South Perth, Victoria Park, East Victoria Park, Bentley and Kensington.

In Como/South Perth area you have:

St Columba's Catholic Primary http://www.myschoolweb.com.au/school/stcolumbas/

Lovely 100 year old catholic primary. My kids went there last year and loved it.

South Perth Primary
http://www.spps.wa.edu.au/

Public school - I know a few kids that go there and parents are very happy - nice grounds - lovely community feel to the school - have to live within the catchment to get a place unless you're lucky.

Como Primary
http://members.iinet.net.au/~comops/

State School - I went and saw this school - looks okay, but don't know too much about it - should be okay as it's in a good suburb and you have to live within the catchment to get a place unless you're lucky.

Collier Primary

Sorry don't have the website link. State school, nice old school, quite small student numbers so easier to get into than South Perth and Collier Primary's. Is on the other side of Canning Highway to the other two.

Wesley College
http://www.wesley.wa.edu.au/

Private Boys school (P-12). Beautiful old established boys school on the River. Fantastic facilities - quite hard to get places in some years.

Penrhos College
http://www.penrhos.wa.edu.au/index.p...d=13&Itemid=16

Private Girls school (P-12). Another very well established school with great facilities. And again can be difficult to get places in some years.

Hope that helps.

Those links were very useful. I'm still waiting on email enquiries from some but I guess there is nothing I can do until I arrive in the area.
