Price of used cars in OZ
 
HI ALL...
Been browsing around and have gained alot of useful info tnx...

i'm new to the forum and have a question...

what can i be expecting to pay for a used car in newcastle as we (my other half and i) are planning to buy some kind of transport when we arrive...

any info on prices and best places to go would be extremly appreciated...

Used cars in Aus are very expensive. That is what I found anyways. I bought a Holden Barina think it was an '89 model and it cost $5000.00!!!! Gotta admit that it is a great car! Got me and mum from Melb to Syd and back in one piece!

for cars from $1000 upwards each clearly described Don't forget to add on the stamp duty/vat that 2nd hand cars attracts in australia

the Mot in aussie is the Roadworthy Certificate - RWC. Not always needed in some states eg. WA.

Have a look here, www.redbook.com.au you can run a rego check to make sure its not stolen .."rebirthing cars " is big business in OZ.......:D :beer: MM
