Price range for short term rentals on Perth coastal strip? (Cottlesloe-Scarborough)
Hi, we've been google til our eyes are bleeding trying to find a reasonable short term house for rental during Nov-Dec. Seems prices are a bit incomprehensible along the coastal strip? Where do you all look? We want to stay somewhere with decent standards while looking for a long term solution.
Should it really be necessary going above $500/month?
All ideas welcome!
(We've looked at realestate.com.au, aussiehomes.com but don't seem to find anything ok).

Where is that property for $500 per month I want to move in
But seriously You wont get a lot of house for $500 per week on the coastal strip. Unless you are happy with a tiny little place just enough room to swing a cat.

I figured $500/month was a typo. Unless they wanted to rent the cardboard box left under the freeway bridge on Scarborough Beach Rd.

Hi All,
I agree, I've been scouting the web for months for that area so I've a rough idea of what is right and this seems low to me.
We've ended up with a compromise in North Beach but hopefully we will be happy.
Good luck.

What would be an upper acceptable limit for a two month rental of a smaller house in this area in decent condition, $750?
Is it very hard to find deals like this at all? Please drop me your ideas/opinions?

Sorry, of course $500/month was a typo. Should be per week. So roughly $2200/month should be within the norm then. Hehe, card board boxes under the bridge - no thank you. Ok, good to know.

This place does from $700 per week - but only does property in Melbourne. Might be similar for Perth anyone?
Some of the properties include free pickup from airport, free use of car, free PAYG phone and credits to get you started, Utilities are always included as well, as to broadband connections, most will have PC free to use as well - so its worth thinking more than just the weekly amount in comparison to long term rental.

It depends on what you're looking for. My husband stayed in Scarborough last year in a very small 2 bedroom furnished unit which cost $550/wk +phone, +internet, +electric & gas. Believe me when I say it was nothing special. While clean, the unit was very small and very old.
If you're looking for a larger more modern ocean view type place you will be paying much more than $500 per week. If you're looking for something small then it's probably a reasonable amount.
Take a look at www.domain.com.au or www.realestate.com.au or www.stayz.com.au for furnished rentals.

It's kind of frustrating though all the time one has to spend surfing the net. Anyhow thanks a lot for your help.
