Milk, Calcium Intake, and Obesity
Based on a large body of scientific evidence, a recent report of the National Dairy Council, demonstrates that adequate intake of calcium and calcium-rich foods such as milk, cheese, or yogurt are considerable important for health promotion, or in other words, for reducing the risk for various medical disorders.

As if the milk industry didn't have a hand in that article... Milk can help people lose weight? Now that is laughable. Milk is a food designed for a calf to grow into a 1 ton cow.

Much, I suspect too much, has been made of the benefits of calcium in dairy products.
Daliy calcium requirement is ~1 gram calcium (~2.5 grams CaCO3).
Dissolve 2.5 grams of limestone in 5.7 grams of citric acid per daily dose. To equal parts of lemon juice and sugar, add citric acid to taste and calcium citrate to effect daily dose. Ensure dosee has adequate exposure to sunlight or give 1,000 IU vitamin D daily.
Dosage cost: limestone, negligible if picked up on a ramble; citric acid, ~$0.10; lemon juice, negligible if from garden; sugar ~$0.03; vitamin D, exposure to sunlight free, tablets $0.10; Total ~$0.25 per daily dose.

It has the same effect on some people...it isn't strictly a MUST in the diet and a lot of people feel better for not having it.
I agree with Dean M's comments.

Yeah for example, if anybody suffers from exzema or other skin problems try eliminating milk and other dairy from your diet. Chances are that it will improve or completely go away.
