Default Prescription charges on a 410 retirment visa

We are contemplating coming to Perth, WA next spring on a 410 Retirement Visa (initially 4 years). We know we will have to take out private health insurance but have realised that the annual allowance for prescriptions is only around $600. My husband has to take an 80gm Statin daily, together with a water tablet and aspirin. Does anyone know what extra costs we would incur buying these medications in Australia. Also, is it possible to purchase these medications through the Internet.
