Question Premium Bonds Questions

Our kids each have some premium bonds which they were given at birth. Not worth a fortune, but you never know .

We're not sure what to do with them. What did you all do with your? Did you cash them in or are you allowed to keep them going?

Also, is there an equivalent in Australia?

cheers

As long as you update your address with them you can keep them. I phoned last week to check about ours and they said it is fine to have them just give them our New Australian address.

There might be tax implications... Income from Premium Bonds is free of tax in the UK, but if you're tax resident somewhere else you might find that big win is not so big...

We just changed addresses of all premium and bonus bonds, post office and bank accounts of the children to the grandparents address! Not sure if this poses any problems but I don't see why it should.
