Default Pre pay Prescription Charges

Hi all,

Does anyone know if in Australia you can buy a pre pay prescription certificate to bring the cost of prescriptions down? They have these over here in the Uk but I just wanted to know as hopefully going over there in August and my OH is a Type 11 diabetic and needs medication. Over here his medication is free so I wondered as he needs to take quite a few tablets if there was some way to lessen the costs!!

All answers greatly received.

Never heard of what your referring to, but try this site, it may give you an idea as to what is available on the PBS.
