Default Power washers / garden hoses

I have a good Karcher power washer connected to a regular garden hose - can I bring both to Oz ?

I can get both clean but do they have strict guidelines about these items knowing there is always the possibility that small particles of soil and water can still be inside the items ?

Would like to know if anyone else has brought theirs to Oz.

Less than 3 weeks to go ! :scared:

Powerwasher - yes.
Hose - no.

Don't see the logic myself.

Bix,

Guess the power washer needs to be completely clean, best way to wash it - jeyes fluid ?

Strange about no hoses as I could get that cleaner than my power washer ?

I agree.

I haven't done it yet Molly but we were told there could be soil or other unwanted things inside the hose as it's always used dragging on the ground.

I still don't see why the washer is much safer on that basis as it is fed by that hose and also has it's own hose. Oh well, who am I to question ?

I think any disinfectant will do but jeyes smells for longer so probably will "impress" more.

Have been wondering about buying one myself out here - but a lot of places have water restrictions (haven't really worked out what this means on a day to day basis) - is it similar to a hose pipe ban?

NSW restrictions

Melbourne Restrictions

Strange thing is the timings of when you can water - NSW seems to let you water in the heat of the day but Melbourne does not.

Am I reading this right?

Default Karcher pwer washer

Karchers are sold in Australia. You can bring your pwer washer here if you want, but you'll need a damn long hose to use it!!!!!
