Power Boat share/northern brisbane area?
I`m looking for for someone to go 50-50 on buying and the keeping a power boat.
About 18 foot inboard bowrider suitable for water sports and a family days out something like an 2004/5 "18 foot bayliner bowrider" these are normally licensed to carry 7 or 8 people.
I thought it would be about 12k each to buy then the upkeep and insurance after that.
I have have had boats and boat shares for a long time now and never had any problems (UK that is, its a lot cheaper here)
I also have all the accessaries like life jackets, skies ,wakeboards, donuts and stuff so no worries there
could also be used for a spot of fishing if you give it a proper clean after,
have a look on the net to see what a bayliner bowrider looks like if your new to boating
maybe do a 3 way share but no more than that alterative weeks usually works well
anyone who is interested drop me a line on this board
if your serious about it we we can meet up to sort the details out
i`m at north lakes.
Regards
Rod Reed.

Sounds like a great idea. Hope you find someone. May be worth asking around at your nearest marina or yacht club as well.

Seems like a good idea, but trying to get people to share in this world is always fun. Perhaps people need to had owned a boat to know how much they would use it etc. I do find it amazing that there are lots of boats for sell with < 50 hrs on the engine etc.

Its true many boats out there have little use but they don`t depreciate like cars do, 2 out of the last 3 I have had were sold for more than i bought them for
its about buying the right one for the right price at the start
Even if it is sold after 3 years for 3k loss its still alot of fun for 500 dollars a year each
A day out on the water is really good day and im still wakeboarding at 43 years old
I wish I had the money to get one for myself but were are house buying at the moment and the deposit comes first ,so had I had too sweet talk the wife into a half share

Agreed it is a good deal, especially if you share equipment etc.
