I understand, thanks for asking. It's just that in the grand scheme of things, a $1.64 'peak' sounds pretty crap.

It is. But that's life. I doubt we'll see 1.64 for a very long time. We'll be lucky to see 1.54 in the next year by the looks of things.

The exchange rate might just have something to do with U.K.'s 'Balance of Trade' figures.

Personally I'm looking forward to another U.K. vacation in the Northern Autumn......the way things are going we might just have parity by then

Just a heads up guys. The exchange rate is about to shoot up to 2.4!!

I had to bring some money across, so just decided on a whim to move it all as I'm fed up of watching the exchange rate every day waiting, wishing.

So get ready!!

I'm now deleting my xe app on my iPhone and will not return to this thread as I don't want to know if it shoots up.

I myself have a holiday in september. If it keeps this up I will travel wearing clothes, and pack 1 spare pair of underpants and sock in my bag, for changing into. everything else will be purchased.

Aye. They'll come to some arrangement over the next week and the GBP/AUD should revert to the more acceptable normal rate of 1.50 ;-)
