Well that got a lot of response! I was led around the local pubs by my neighbour yesterday and "pots" seems to be the expression for half pints up here in Queenlsand. Apparently they are "midis" in Melbourne - a pint is a schooner. Great learning all these new expressions!

I found the price of a half much the same in the UK - $2.40 was the average. Went to one pub during happy hour and they had a real novel idea. Every 15 minutes they spin a ball with about 60 numbers. If it lands on 1 it is free beer for the next 15 minutes! Depending upon the other numbers that may come up, prices for the following 15 minutes ranged between $1.30 and $1.90. I was there a few hours - but we never got a 1!!!

More like half schooners. Pots are for QLD light weights.

Only full schooners down here. I prefer pints but a schooner is normally the closest.
