Posting parcels to Oz
Does anyone know of a cheaper way of sending parcels to Oz?
Took a parcel to the post office today and was told it would cost £55 to post a 3.7k parcel by airmail to Oz. Surface mail which takes much longer would be £47. The postage cost is actually more than the items in the parcel are worth. The parcel is for relatives already there, but it has got me wondering if there are any cheaper alternative ways of getting parcels to Oz for when we move there.......
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Anyway, it gives an online quote and if you are happy with it you can organise delivery for the next day.

Thank you very much - just tried them and they can do it £12 cheaper than Royal Mail + online tracking. Big bonus as they will collect, saves me having to carry the big heavy parcel!!!
Thanks for your advice, Claire
