Phew,

What a session. 4 metre swell - MASSIVE waves. Bloke next to me had his board smashed in to pieces.

Powerful rip to the left another one to the right.

I stayed in the white foam at the front, there was no way I was going to join the boogie boarding grommets in the big ones.

Great fun.
I decided against it yesterday. Think it was a wise move! They had 10-12 footers down in Margaret River which would have been pretty stunning to watch.

It looks good this morning though, but the reports are that it's really crowded. :(

Think I shall wait for the sea breeze and go for a kite.

How's the surfing coming along Renth?

It's coming along, slowly.

They say the best surfer is the one having the most fun. So I guess according to that category I'm pretty good.

I will have to use that excuse. Have you gone along a clean wave rather than straight forward? It took forever for me to get there but the sensation is incredibly addictive.

Not yet, still foam but I've had a few good rides, and am addicted.

We lost a couple of drowned surfers in NZ yesterday, I think they were Chinese, they certainly didn't count on the conditions.
