Default Posh Hotel in Bribane?

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel for our family to stay a couple of days when we arrive in Brisbane? Somewhere central and comfortable.
We are travelling with 3 kids under 3 years old so a family friendly one would be nice. One with a spa and stuff like that...any ideas.

Are you looking hotel or apartment? I would book early because apparently duiring the week a lot of places are at full capacity with business travellers (weekends don't seem to be a problem). If you are looking five star then I'd suggest: Stamford Plaza or the Casino (it's in a separate building to the casino). Don't be put off, it's in a lovely old building. There is also the Savile over at South Bank.

I used to stay at Lennons (Now, I believe Chifley at Lennons) and the Hilton: both very central and comfortable - although the Hilton has a huge high atrium around which the rooms come off all-round balconies so it can be a bit noisy.

Warning - Do not even consider the 'Astor' we walked out of there just a few weeks ago, customer service was terrible and rooms even worse. We ended up at 'Rydges' on the South bank - now that is a nice hotel.

Scot.

Have a look here...

http://www.wotif.com.au

if you want to be central then Spring Hill is a pretty decent location (without being too exe - and not in the middle of CBD). You should be able to find something decent that wont suck too many $$$$ out of you!
