Portable TV from the UK

We brought out 2 14 inch TV's from the UK, on the understanding they will work here. When I have tried to tune them in, I get and excellent picture but either no sound or just noise. I have tried the fine tune option, that didn't work.

Any idea's on how to cure this, if that is possible?

There's your problem right there.

They will not work without being modified. I could explain why but there is no point. Just buy a cheap Digital Set Top Box and plug it into the TV's, then they will work fine.

or use them with a U.K DVD player/Playstation etc.....
