Re: Population limit?
There has to be a point when a finite sized country can't take anymore.
I live in London and the infrastructure is struggling to cope. Roads are too crowded, trains are too crowded , water shortage, a shortage of housing etc etc.

This is one the major factors as to why we are moving - S P A C E !!
Of course the majority of the Australian landmass is not actual habitable but even still its getting pretty bad, especially if you consider the other countries populations. Check out this for a league table around the world...

Re: Population limit?
Which raises the question of why a person born in England is often not regarded as an Englishman/woman - if they are born to immigrant parents?? Paradoxically, the first settlers of Australia are quite often not thought of as Australians or at least equals by many . It's a funny and confusing thing 'white fella prejudice'. I'm not directing my comments at anyone here, I'm just thinking aloud.

Is all immigration bad?
Most of these people are from Eastern Europe, mainly Poland & are hardly 3rd world scroungers
Most are working & paying tax & not a burden on the state
Most are in the major cities, mainly London & I think we underestimate the ability of these places to cope
Most work harder than the average Brit
There are now plenty more fit women in the UK
