Didn't even know you could get a re-furbished pool. Is there a big difference in price? Does it come with a guarantee and for how long?

hi luma,
there's a few companies that re-furbish pools, i think you may save approx $3-4000, but no idea if its value for money, hence my question seeking advice.

Looked into refurbished pools, and even got a quote last week. For a 8x4 they wanted $15K and this comes with standard filters etc. Went with DJ pools in the end, as they could install within 4 weeks, their price for same size pool, guaranteed for 30 years, and better filters etc, was less than the second hand one. The refurbished pool only came with 10 year warranty. I had assumed that these pools would be alot cheaper, but there not. I would go with a new pool, as you want to be able to address a shop if things go wrong, not a scrap yard.

You’d be crazy to buy new if you didn’t have too considering pools don’t add value to your home. If the refurbished mode comes with a warranty I’d be on to it. No one need ever know it's not new.
