Default Pommie-Bashing gone too far?

One of the fella's who must be have been involved in the decision to effectively ground Concorde is an Aussie isn't he? Rod Eddington, Chief Exec at BA?

Them Aussie's will do anything to avoid us Pommie's having one up on them

Just listening to him talking....and yes he definatly sounds like an aussie...

Quite surprised he attained such a lofty position considering he was educated down unda (no sarcasm there...or is there?)

thought he sounded aussie!!!

Hey they've even wheeled out that national treasure; old Raymond Baxter he of the slow talk and the perfect "old school" vowels and the deliberate delivery.

Used to do the Royal Tournaments. If I had a penny for every tme he said "their prowess on the battlefield is as good as their drill on the parade square" (his fav phrase) I'd be a rich man.

You've got to hand to the Aussie's. Whenever there's an opportunity to bash the poms they'll take it

You may have noticed that the English rugby team is in a spot of bother for having an extra player on the pitch during their last game against Samoa.

Toutai Kefu (a player who was ruled out of the Australian team through injury) told the Brisbane Courier-Mail..
"..... the whole thing just smacks of arrogance."

"But then the English have always been an arrogant race. Go back in history, look at the English army. Who goes to war dressed up in red coats?"

For what it's worth, the Samoans said,

"Mistakes happen. We don't want something like this to blight what was a wonderful game of rugby."

A question that always runs through my mind, is...."when did Australians stop being British and start being Australian"??

The marines who were part of the first fleet etc, would have worn those red coats too.....

Continuing on that theory, the only true Englishman is Welsh????? the only true Scot is Irish???? where does that leave the French.

yes a case of the fox running the hen house.

rumours in ba say he could'nt wait to scrap the concorde and spends all day going around asking staff whats so great about britain. he has no idea about our heritage and thinks having run mickey mouse operations like ansett (enough said) and cathy pac he knows enough to run an airline the size of ba.

whilst were at it anybody notice the idiot running the national stats office in uk is a kiwi. hes the guy that recently realised that uk gdp grew 0.6 in q2 and not 0.3 as originally stated. In stat terms thats is rather a large variation. hopeless.

wonder what the chances of a pom heading up qantas or the national stat office of kiwi land. Very unlikely as the pom would not have local experience! About time we returned the favour I think.

Tofu is an Aussie rugby player, so whinging & moaning is compulsory. They don't get selected if they don't bitch.
