Police Clearance waiting times?
 

Has anyone applied (recently) for UK police clearances?
We have been advised that we have just under a month to get police clearances and send them off to Adelaide! Seems a bit tight to me.

If you think there is going to be a delay, get in touch with your case
officer and explain the problem.

Hi Shiske,

We applied about a week or so ago, the receipt for the cheque was
accompanied by a letter from the police which said to expect to wait 40
days.

The letter from AHC London said that they understood that there could be a
delay in obtaining the police clearance and allowed 91 days to submit these.

We still have to contact the AHC within 49 days though with the other info
they have requested from us or send a fax or letter explaining that there
will be a delay.

We just sent for updated police checkes and got lett sying 40 days and don't expect to hear until towards the end of the 40 days.

The previous ones we requested last year took slightly less than that but still seemed ages.

I know this doesn't help but best to be realistic. I'm not sure how you chase either.
