Has anybody had experience in obtaining a police check in South Africa from the UK, for an Australian visa?

The SA authorities seem to require fingerprints, passports, and a fee?

Appreciate any advise.

Hi "cb"

Have a look at http://www.saps.org.za/faq/faq2.htm#Applicants. It has all the info
you require.

Hope this helps, Paula

My husband had to get police certificates from South Africa. We basically got his finger prints done at a police station here in the UK, then sent them off to an address in Pretoria. Out of all our police certificates we had to get (South Africa, The Netherlands and the UK) - The South African one was processed the fastest - quite amazing considering that we're based in the UK! The Netherlands was second and then finally coming in last was the UK... !!
