police checks how long ?
Can anyone tell me how long the police checks (on average) take to come back? Im in West Yorkshire by the way.

to give you an idea, under the data protection act they must provide it within 40 days of receipt of the completed form.

From previous postings they usually take about 2 weeks

Ours took three weeks. 12 days for the forms that we handed in to the local police station (Harlow) to get to Essex HQ (Chelmsford) and then sent onto Scotland Yard.....
