Please does anyone know If I have a police check here in Nsw,when we move to WA, would they accept it there, or would I need to have another one done once we got there?

If you mean police checks for other then immigration purposes then you will get a National Police Certificate, which should be accepted in all states. But a certificate is only valid for the day it is issued and some employers may insist all applicants have a new check, whilst others may be happy to accept older checks up to a certain limit.

Yes. Im confused about that, but didnt like to ask, but as you mentioned it, might as well
Rang up on the wwcc number. They said I couldnt apply for the check to be done myself unless I had a job offer.
I called up a nanny agency who said that nearly everyone would want me to have the check done, and the card in my hand, without it not many people would even interview me. .. So its the chicken and the egg scenario. I dunno, things get complicated sometimes dont they

I have found that the people on the phoneline are not too helpful. I suggest that you contact a major Perth nanny/babysitting agency, tell them that you are on your way over, and would like to register with them and provide them with your CV and references. Two examples are http://www.dialanangel.com/dial-ange...dcare-services and http://www.perthnannycare.com.au/about-us.php. They can then send you a WWC form and get the ball rolling, more info here http://www.checkwwc.wa.gov.au/NR/rdo...ants062011.pdf.
