Police Check requested. Does this bode well?
 

DIMIA has written to ask us to get our police check done.

Can't help being optimistic about the outcome but at the same time I don't want to build up too much expectation and get really disappointed if it falls through. Can anyone offer any insight if PR is as good as ours at this point or there's still more hurdles to clear?

I take it you've already done your medicals?

I would say you're 99.9% in, but I have heard of people being asked for more info once they've sent their police checks...

It just means you've filled your forms in correctly - sorry!.

Assuming you've had a skills assesment succesfully and have no major medical issues , and are not a convicted drug runner / murderer then you should be ok

the biggest hurdle by far is getting a skills assesment it would seem . The rest is just admin.

we had our police checks requested at the same time as our medicals....I think this is a positive sign.

LOL its a scary day when you get Police Checks done.

I was a LAD in my teens and twenties, and often got into Mischief. Thn i met the missus , who "butter wouldnt melt in her mouth"

Nice middle class family she was from, me im a council house kid. A scruff

We sent police checks off, and they duly came back.

I WAS CLEAN as the popes fo*****n
DEBS had a conviction for ABH i was MORTIFIED !!!!!!!

Apparently she had slapped a girl when she was 17 some 20 yrs previous and etc etc etc...

NO PROBLEM !!! all went well so dont worry :)
