You're a medical secretary? Could I recommend the use of the occasional full stop? They'd make your 184-word paragraph slightly easier to understand.

a lot of these agents offer no fee if you are not granted a visa, so you can see why some will go for cases they are sure to succeed. Ensure if you do go with an agent is approved one (MARA) listed on DIMA website.

For more info on how points are claimed, look at booklet 6 on DIMA website. If not already included you can claim 5 bonus points for invest AUS$100k for a yr - you get it back with interest!

Hi there

Go to www.immi.gov.au website and follow the links to the boolets, which you can download in a PDF file.

The points tests are in the booklets, as stated by another poster you can gain extra points by putting up a bond, also if you speak an extra language fluently.
I'd try the cousin route too, but they do have to provide alot of info, which is a bit of work for them. then you have to have an assurer, which can be anyone, but they have to demonstrate that they can support you should things go tits up. They have to provide tax returns and payslips for two years.

There are plenty of answers at the top of the forum page http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...hreadid=168310
Good luck and feel free to ask away. We didn't know about this website when we applied and boy it would of helped.

Jill and Warren

(ps I'm from Liverpool too !!!)

It is people like you that are forcing a lot of people not to bother posting anymore.
Hence people missing out on valuable advice.

hi
have you thought about going state/territory nominated? You only need pool marks (think its 70) only downside being you have to stay in sponsering state for 2 years - SA and Victoria do it. You will find it on the DIMIA link Go Bananas posted.
good luck, let us know how you get on!!

Of course I didn't count every word! Anyone who's familiar with a PC (particularly a secretary) would know that you can get a wordcount from any piece of text with about 5 keystrokes.

Sorry if I upset anyone, but I thought it was really funny that someone who was a secretary (though 'more of a PA'), could have written that paragraph and then seriously suppose that they would be in demand for their skills in Australia!

j hamilton Jan 12th 2004 5:13 am

didn't know i was trying to impress anybody
you sound such a nice person!!! as i said i deal with cancer patients, and this involves being a very caring person, who has good clerical and social skills dealing with very delicate patients not when messing about on websites to be critized by sad people like you. get a life! you obviously don't like secretaries!
