Points increase May 2002
Hi
Anybody else just miss out on the points going up in May 2002.
We were told by our agent that we have to find $1000,000.00 Aussie dollars and put in a bank account in Oz for a year if we wish to carry on with the application.
A way of saving money i suppose!!!!!
Just could have done without it what with everything else you have to pay for (Agents etc.)
Or is it just us???????

Re: Points increase May 2002
If you applied before the change it's still 110. If after then you have to find the extra 5 points with the £100k deposit. Why agent raise it now. He would have known that at the time of the application?

we just missed out too have 110 points,
and would rather put that kinda money to use when we get there,
luckily enough we would love to go to Melbourne and my hubby's job is on their "jobs in demand list" so we are applying through STNI,(you dont need 115 for STNI..i think as long as u have above pool mark its ok)

Thanks for all the replies.
Mash, if our agent had got her finger out and sorted our paperwork when it was all sent off then we would have met the deadline. Kept on coming back with questions that we had already answered. Our paperwork was sent back signed and completed before May so I don't know why it wasn't sent to Adelaide before the points went up! !!
Still can't do anything about it now.
Cheers everyone
