Pointless
This whole site is amazing. On the US section they are all whining about sprouts not being sprouts and the lack of cordinated colour toilet tissue. On the Canadian section it is a long whine about Canada being a 3rd world country, and who knows what else. Here it is another feast of whine on about Australia. In the meantime others are having a long whinge about the UK.
So, from what I gather, it is all rather pointless, so I might as well go to the pub and remain forever numb. Have people forgotten the art of conversation? You know...

It's not that some people have forgotten the art of conversation - it's just that they never had it in the first place. Conversation is an "art" and like any art you have to practice it a bit. Comments about the weather are not conversations to me - they are habits. Some Brits are happy to limit their conversation to these sorts of pleasantaries - nothing wrong with that either. I love hearing different accents and expressions from all over the world and all over UK as well - adds to the joy of language. In my experience those with the most tend to whinge the most. Brits and Americans whinge an awful lot more (a long with other more developed nations) than those with less. Probably a throwback from colonialism and feeling superior. My philosophy in life is give the whingers the benefit of the doubt and if they carry on whinging ab nauseum - move on, life's too short for whinging.

The ones that make me chuckle most of all are those that whinge about the whingers, like you are now Florida. In fact, you are responsible for me having to whinge about you being a whinger.
I suggest that you do not respond to this post, because if you whinge some more, I will be forced to retort with yet more whinging. This could have a domino effect and spread this terrible affliction amongst even more of the good people on this site.
Also, I recall that you recently made a casual remark to the effect that you were leaving this forum, so that makes you a liar and a whinger.
