plumber needing assistance
wonder if any of you aussie plumbers out there could help, am just starting the long road to emigration. I am 44 years old with over 20 years of experience i run my own buisness and i think pretty good at my job (had no complaints) I am worried after searching various discussion forums about jobs in australia. In some they say that the wages are very very low, retraining to get license long and difficult and that plumbers are pretty low on the wage scale? Is this really true, it is on the occupation in demand list. I understand that some training is needed and not moaning about this, although to be honest a bit nervous been a long time since i was in the classroom. I also understand that the wages are lower than in the uk and accept that but are working conditions that bad? Just worrying that it will not be worth it, i have 3 kids 17,12,8 and although 2 want to go the eldest is not keen and we face the possibility of having to leave him behind (breaking his mothers heart). I wonder if anyone could give me a honest answer to this . many thanks:):)
