Please could someone tell me what HIFX IS like
Hi guys so to ask another question but are HIFX worth using? As someone that has never had any dealings with company before is it a viable option to use them to transfer money and to use them on a monthly basis to make our payments in the Uk . Love confused of Leigh on Sea. Confused because my of my oh not because of wine.

Hi, there are a few different ways of transferring your money to aus and i have tried experimenting with them as have others who have posted on different threads.
HIFX are one of the more popular exchange companies that people use and they seem to have a pretty good reputation, IMO, on BE. They always explain things well and i have not found them pushy in anyway. They have offered me advice twice which i have not taken and later regretted it.
Citi bank is a popular choice if you have an account with them in both countries as you can move the money yourself online with ease. The rate didn't work out as good as HIFX but the flexibilty can sometimes be more important.
I tried doing money transfers through big high street banks in both countries but the costs always came out higher.
Hope this helps

Easy as pie, once you have an account set up.
Used them to transfer some cash for a house purchase in Ethiopia. The only ones to f**k up were the Ethiopian receiving bank :curse:, the cash was in limbo for four days until they tracked it down.
