please can anyone help?????
We are just about the purchase a pre-owned property in Perth. We are on a 163 business visa and want to only live in the property for six months then return to England !!!!! Does anyone know if this is possible to do and will we incur any taxes for selling the property on after such a short time ???? thanks for any response. :rolleyes:

Why do you want to buy for such a short time??? Wouldnt the stamp duty cost you more than the rent you would spend on somewhere for 6 months? :confused: Also in this climate, in 6 months you wouldnt make an aweful lot on a house...I just dont see why you would want to buy for only 6 months? Hels |

Hi Not too sure I am right, but if you purchase a house here and sell it before 12-13ths arent you up for some sort of capital gains tax - if you make any profit that is Worth checking Kim |
