Default Planning permission - how long?

Any ball park figures for quickest and average approval for planning permission in Victoria?

3 rentals we've had in Australia:

1st one the owner tried to jack the rent up by 40%. Moved out. He had then empty property for 3 months - that's called karma.

2nd one the owner put on market and had to put up with weekly and ad hoc inspections. This was extremely stressful. Moved out when sold.

3rd one we've been in now for 9 months and have learnt today the owner is putting in planning permission to redevelop. Great stuff.

Really had enough of this now.

Depends on what they are doing but 10 to 12 months as a generic time frame.

Check with council (and then double it)
