Default Pics of Gold Coast Storms

Here's a photo of North Burleigh yesterday, you can't see it in this shot but there were people in the water just south of this point

Took these today, down at Currumbin. Only people out there were the jet skis, but loads on the rocks watching.

They're sort of humming and arring to be honest. You think it's faded away and suddenly this roar starts and then the trees start bending Not lost a tree yet, but lots of branches down. She's picked her moment The temps are still probably better than you're having but I've not seen the sun for more than an hour in the last couple of weeks

Probably keep going like this at least through most of tomorrow. Computer models aren't totally sure what will happen with the Low after about Tuesday, but there's a probability of the wind and waves continuing until the end of the week.

That's quite dramatic isn't it!

This afternoon we went up to The Spit too (past Seaworld and over the water from South Stradbrook Island) to watch the breakers. It was packed with people doing just the same as us. No one in the water today though....just a couple of nervous looking Lifeguards on jetski patrol at the mouth of the harbour.

The weather was awesome - very windy but so warm. One minute the sun was blazing out and a few minutes later the sky was purple, rainbows and the rain sweeping in, very atmospheric. More in a sec...

Large long period swells and waves are expected to continue along beaches south of about Fraser Island for all of this week.

SHOWERS!

I hate that in a weather forecast, it's just a cop-out ... give me certainty people, we can put a man on the moon <fades off into rant>

Lovely morning though, persistant drizzle and a steady trickle into the tanks ... mmmmarvellous.
