Phone Question
Hi all. We have a digital (land-line) phone and were wondering whether or not to take it with us. Are the connections the same and would it work.

You can get adapters for the phone though that isn't an issue. The thing you have to check with phones etc is that they have been approved for use in Australia otherwise I believe you can get a fine. Perhaps a search on google could help with this as I'm afraid this is all based on my hazy recollections when I was looking at buying a kick ass phone for my boyfriend from overseas.

Someone (Hutch?) said previously that if you have a DECT phone, then it will work in Oz (but need an adapter for the phone socket - like you do for electrical plugs).
