Default Phil & Kirsty fan?

...well who'd not be a kirsty fan...? (location, location, location...for those who are wondering what the hell I'm talking about).

But seriously, my landlord was contacted and has forwarded details of a 'Phil Down Under' program hunting for Brits looking for a property in Sydney and other spots in Oz. Not my thing, but have attached details if anything wants to pursue it. Details below (not a wind up, well not as far as I know, although personally I wouldn't be hurrying to buy right now...)
---------------

PHIL DOWN UNDER
An IWC Media Production for Channel

Property guru Phil Spencer from C4’s ‘Location Location Location’ is taking his property finding and negotiating skills along with a large dose of English charm, down under. He’s heading to the other side of the world to help emigrating Brits find their perfect home in Australia.

In each episode, Phil will be helping one British couple navigate their way through the Australian property system. Phil will help find and negotiate the deal on their dream pad. From harbour-side homes in Sydney and Beach pads in Byron Bay to Ranches in the Outback and Retreats in the Rainforest, no property search is too daunting for Phil.

Phil will also be getting his hands dirty as he tries some of Australia’s more extreme professions and finds out first hand just how different life in Oz can be to the UK.

For this exciting new show we are on the hunt for people who are looking to emigrate to Australia before February next year. They must be available and able to buy in January/February 2009. If you’ve got the papers and would like the help of a dedicated and professional team to find the house of your dreams, or if you have a job in Australia you think would challenge Phil, all you have to do is call Martin or Lorraine on 0141 353 8495 / 0141 353 8424, email [email protected], or apply online www.meontv.co.uk/phildownunder

Somebody already posted on this. Shame it's not a few months later or I would be up for it. I like Phil, too. I watch all the property programmes. I need to get a life...

Has that fat b!tch eaten her hat yet now the property market has crashed? How they still have airtime is beyond me, they quite clearly are partly responsible for ruining many people's lives

So location location is to blame for the housing crash in UK

Best not let him in here, the market might treble over next 2 years and then crash.
In fact let him in, il buy up and then sell.

Of course they're not responisble, that lies with the BOE and Gordon Brown keeping interest rates too low a few years back, they're responsible for irresponsibly encouraging people across the country to pay far too much for property. It would be quite ironic if he does go ahead, just as Australia's property prices go into freefall like the rest of the Anglo Saxon world..... I see Perth is now the defaulting capital of Oz

She's a fraud anyway. No one with a proper plummy voice would spell their name Kirstie.

What a load of nonsense It's a world wide thing, not a British thing. Golden Brown's a tool but he can't be held responsible for a worldwide economic downturn.

Yes and no. He along with all the other leaders in the western world could have raised interest rates to prevent a big bubble in housing occurring, which ultimately lead to the economic situation. He is responsible for the problems in Britain, he was chancellor at the time and changed the inflation target from RPI to CPI.

On another note, when we were selling our house in 2006 Location Location Location were interested in our house and wanted to send over the producers to see if it was appropriate for the show!

We said no... firstly because there wasnt any gain in it for us.. apart from perhaps a little fame for our house! lol!

Plus I didnt want to hear it universally slagged off on national telly (which.. lets face it.. they always do regardless of whether they are going to buy or not)..

We sold it anyway! and for a nice fat profit! Those were the days!

Em x
