Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had a PGCE Secondary Interview and could give me some tips. They said there is a written task, and also a group task and a presentation. My interview is this month, at Brunel University for PGCE in ICT.

Hi - the written task will be to test your literacy levels, the presentation will be to check that you don't turn into a jibbering idiot when talking to people! I did a PGCE in ICT last year and went through the same ordeal!! You'll be fine. Just remember capital letters and full stops!

If you want to impress, find out what some of the current issues are in ICT teaching - have a look on www.tes.co.uk, read the articles & forums.
Think about making your presentation different, and smile a lot (but don't giggle like a fool!) and alternate tone of voice to keep interest.....
Be ready to explain why you want to join a profession that people are deserting in droves, and to justify the importance of your subject.
