Hello My mum wants to take her dog (puppy 5 months old) to Oz when they go on the 457 Visa in September has anyone got any info on what she has to do first or any good contacts she is going to Brisbane and we know the dog will have to go to Sydney for quarantine first.

The puppy has to be micro chipped then you can get an import license then you should contact a pet shipping agency there are many and they will help out with the flight, blood test paperwork and you have to contact the quarrintine station. do a search in this forum for shipping pets and you will get loads of info

We used Pet Travel Services in Dumfermline, Scotland. Excellent service. All in all for a collie x Lab including Vet fees and quarintine etc cost approx 2500 UK pounds.
