I reckon Guinea Pigs make great pets for young kids.

Mines asked for a lizard when we get there though

Reptiles, fish, birds etc. The usual really. Pets shops here sell puppies and kittens :curse: , personally I dont go into those and instead use the RSPCA shop.

As anywhere heaps of animials need a good home so you can always do the kind thing and give a home to a dog etc.

Big Spiders!

Sorry, they are my one big fear.

Do they do goats in Oz? (Never remember seeing any)

Anyway, they are the BEST pets, as long as you have a BIG garden

Yep, I found that law too.
There are apparently loads of wild goats in Oz. I was very suprised when I heared that the other day.

Do you not know about the environmental disaster caused by rabbits in Australia

Why do you think there is a fence which crosses nearly half the continent designed to stop their spread?

Do you know why myxamatosis was invented?

In the Flinders Ranges in Sth Australia , feral goats became such a problem ,that they were destroying the land scape to such an extent that the Army where called in to cull them by shooting from Helicopters........... mm
