Biodiesel's the way to go. Australia could become self sufficient and it's carbon neutral

In the early 1970 when oil went from $3 to $12 their was an outcry ammonst the developed nations about what a disaster it was.

Now in 2004 the price is $42 and we are still complaining. BUT if you take infaltion into account the price with no real increase should be $46 (this is using the USA infalation rate).

So what are you lot complaining about.

How many of you are not considerably BETTER off in REAL terms now than in 1970's.

I firmly belive that oil prices should be kept high to encourage alternative energy forms to get us off a total dependence on Mid East oil.

With high oil prices it gives an incentive to developers to find alternatives (which is what the west excells at) if the price is right.
