Yep, anything from 35c - 40c in the Perth summer is quite common.

I've found it OK up to 38c because it's a dry heat. Anything over 40c is a bit too much! But we only had 5 or 6 days over 40c last summer, don't remember it feeling too bad.

I couldn't cope with humidity, not sure how you Brisbane people manage?!

How that has cheered me up!!

Felt miserable this morning, had to put the bloody light on when I got up, and it was 7am! It was dark and grey and rainy and cold. The first real autumn morning this year. I hate it! Walking my son to school, pushing the baby in the pram, the wind was blowing, it was wet and cold and all I kept saying was, "It won't be like this going to school in Australia!!"

Only '40 sleeps to go' as my son keeps saying!!

I sat in Central Park in Perth on Sunday morning at 9am with a nice coffee and a choc chip muffin and had my brekkie there. It was the most beautiful morning I have seen for ages, warm, sunny and not a cloud in the sky.

Now I am back in rainy, grey and chilly Adelaide.

Roll on next week when I am back in Perth on Tuesday!
