Perth Versus Hobart
Has anyone re located from Perth to Hobart?
If so what are your thoughts on both places.
We are at present living in Perth have been for almost 3 years.
Hubby a painter and myself a care worker in aged care.
We love Perth and hubby makes a good wage mines crap lol.
House prices have went through the roof here in Perth and its almost impossible to get on the property ladder.
We are seriously looking into re locating to Hobart next year as the housing market looks more appealing and hubby would be making roughly the same wages as here in Perth.
Hobart looks beautiful the scenery is amazing.
I love Perth weather but also miss having 4 seasons so would look forward to weather in Tasmania.
Having a pool used to be a main factor on where we lived as we rent but I have only used the pool once this year.
Not really a beach person at all so sunbathing and swimming in ocean is not a problem.
Live in a lovely suburb in Perth Currambine but its very very quiet so living in Hobart in CBD would be more lively lol.( even though Tasmania is quiet and laid back it has to be more lively than Currambine ).
Not one for going out into Perth city for night out as its to bloody busy.
Living in Hobart we can do what we used to do when living in UK. HAVE REGULAR HOLIDAYS.
Its not far from Sydney and Melbourne and we reckon we would be able to do what we did in UK and have short city breaks every 6 weeks or so.
Have not had a holiday in the 3 years we have been in Perth as its so expensive to fly to other states etc.
We do love Perth and maybe one day will return as its a beautiful place but to get on the property ladder we will be waiting another 3 years.
Would like to hear from others who have re located from Perth to Hobart and what their views are on both places.
