Default Perth - Swan River Hotels

Hi,
My folksor are coming over via Perth in September and are looking for a good hotel near the 'Swan River'. Anyone recommend anything?? Would be much appreciated.
Thx
Fiona

We stayed Ascot Quays, up from Burswood, nice views but dont know if to far out, can get some good deals if you try

With river views you are looking at the CBD / East Perth boundary - Duxton, Sheraton etc but not cheap. In the city centre there is the Ibis, Rydges, Hilton x 2 (the one on Mill St is a dive though) etc. Or Raffles in South Perth.

Try Sullivans - not pricey (would say mid range with a small pool) but we found it clean, comfortable and they did us a good deal as we paid for a standard room and got an upgrade for free (went out of season). It is located opposite the river and there is a CAT (bus) station right out side. It is also 5min walk from the Jacobs Ladder access to Kings Park.

We spent 10 nights there and have no complaints!

have stayed both at the Hilton and the New Esplanade, the Hilton oddly enough was cheaper $140 a night found on the net, the esplanade although nice was due to close down. Try on line deals, there are plenty around.
