perth perth perthcould any body tell wots good about perth because we are goin to immigrate there from uk

Its not all roses though oz gov are mad on regulation etc. But thats happening in uk n europe now too !
tranport is good if you live near it of course as its is in all oz citys .
Will you like it only you will know when there , some hate it .
There is much more to perth than can be put in a few words.

If you`re going to emigrate there then surely you would have done a fair amount of research on it before you decided??
It`s the cheaper place to buy housing than the eastern states.
It`s the most isolated city in the world (ie it costs alot to travel from there to anywhere remotely interesting in the world).
It`s the 2nd windiest city in the world.
It hits above 40 during the summer.
It has some fantastic beaches (but so does the rest of Aus).
There`s not alot of entertainment there compared to Sydney/Brisbane.
Not many decent bands go there as it`s too far away.
It has a great multicultural atmosphere.
It`s quite laid back.
The traffic cops are bastards, and speed limits are too slow.
Films hit the cinema`s a couple of weeks earlier than the UK.
Petrol is alot cheaper than the UK.
Bread is more expensive.
There are some fantastic places to surf, snorkel and dive.
You can go Whale-watching in the right season.

I might have guessed it was a 12 year old girl writing.......mine seems to only use text speak too
We are of to Perth hopefully asap ! Most of our reasons have been mentioned (although my 12 year old daughter will also point out all the fit lads on the beach :scared: )
