Sleeping on the floor in the living room. The upstairs bedrooms are like a furnace. Real nightmare with no aircon.

Was out walking at 5.30 this morning and it was hot already, the air was like a hairdryer. It's going to be a hot one.

You and me both. I have ironing to do and food shopping. Don't really want to do either in 40 degrees but needs must!

not too bad over here this morning. We haven't had one of those "hairdryer" days over here, so far this summer.

41C here in yesterday and today is also set for 41C!
Im north of Perth.

You sort of get used to it(well not sure you ever fully get used to it), luckily we arrived in winter and built up to the heat.

Pretty hot, but not as bad as 44C last Christmas.

We are playing games indoors with the kids, or going in the pool.

I will never understand these imbeciles who start fires deliberately. What is it over here? It happens all the time!

Unbelievable.

Re: perth people...

I am rather hoping that the person who started the fire this morning, was caught up in it, badly burned/maimed and scarred for life. I dont care if it was a child/adult - whoever, they have no regard for the lives and safety of others, the cost of the emergency services involved.

They deserved to be caught up in the fire that they started.

As for the heat, I am glad I am working, it was hot when I left and when I leave the office later today I expect it will feel even hotter in the CBD with the high buildings etc. It certainly felt hotter than predicted yesterday when I walked to the station.

I just go home, stick the fan on or the aircon, slow down a gear or perhaps sit in the garden with a beer.
