Still, surprising it was only 22% more expensive - and the same as London (http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living...on&city2=Perth)

The "facts" are produced by a company unheard of,must be true.

It just seems to confirm what has been said many times.

I'm a bit wary of these surveys. If the average wage isn't considered, then the cost of buying this or that is a bit useless. Unless you're just visiting.

Re: Perth - The most expensive city in Australia

Well OH has been given huge pay rises between jobs, yet bills like food, synergy, Telstra have trebled.... I long the times 15yrs ago when basic line rental was $17 etc. Found it funny the other day at Coles with their "prices are down" theme.....bought the same toilet paper for the last 15 yrs, started at $1.20 and for last 2 yrs has been $4.50. Went to the shops last week, big sign "prices are down, now down to $5 since $5.20 in 2011..... Total bull as usual, and as for the poster saying prices aren't up, try decade and a half to compare prices, I can guarantee Perth is very very expensive

If you check the numbeo comparison, Perth is no more expensive than London, but purchasing power is better in perth by nearly 50%. Everything is relative.
