Perth-Gas Fire Advice

Hi All
As its just starting to get a bit chilly i need some help on shops in Perth who sell Gas Fires....

I have googled a bit but perhaps these things are called something else here as im drawing a blank.

We have a bayonet fitting in the living room so i would imagine its a plug n play affair:blink:

Bing Lee was one search thrown up? :fingerscrossed:

Hello Gunner

I bought mine from Kleanheat gas. They have outlets all over Perth.

I think Retrovision also sell them. I've had mine for 7 years now, and it's in need of a service,so I'll be taking it into a shop this week as there's a few iffy fumes coming off it.

Yes most of them screw into a bayonet fitting.

We have a Rinnai we bought on special at Retravision. It's amazing. We used to have a flued gas log fire (looked like you had logs burning etc) and this thing is much more efficient and easier to operate. Plug and play, as you said. As Genevieve said, try 'heater' not 'fire'.

You need one with a fan to blow the warm air into the room.

Yip, got a Rinnai from Retravision too. A bit pricey to buy, $700ish, but cheap as chips to run, plugs into the bayonet and can be stored away in summer. I put the clothes horse up in fort of it in the evenings while we watching telly, has not use the tumble dryer in weeks. I do not move into a house without a gas bayonet for this reason.

Pull-out on gas fires in today's West - if you didn't buy it today, you might be able to get hold of a copy early tomorrow.

One good thing about the Rinnai heaters is they do not have any very hot surfaces or radiant elements - just a stream of warm air coming out of them. You can stand right next to one and not get burned.
