Default Perth Crime/Homicide Levels

Have just discovered that WA had exactly the same homicide levels in the last year as we did here in Scotland. However we have a population of 5.2m whereas WA has population of 2.2m which would obviously suggest that serious crime is a lot worse in WA.

Anyone got any opinion or feedback as it is a concern and we are on the path to being there very soon...

I wouldn't worry, it's generally only the bikie gangs killing one another trying to control the drugs trade.

How many homicides would there be in Scotland if people were sober?

Thanks Spartacus. I did wonder if that was the case although equally would suggest a pretty bad drugs problem but I appreciate I'm now getting picky perhaps!

A lot of the crimes in Perth are due to the use of alcohol and other drugs. Over 100 clandestine drug labs have been found this year so far - these can be in any suburb, some are in cars and even in bushland in the metro area. You can look at the crime states in detail here. Most suburbs will be OK, you have to avoid the dodgy ones (might be cheaper to rent or buy there, but there are reasons for that).

We also have quite severe thunderstorms in winter. Are you now worried about being hit by lightening? Oh and we have great white sharks too!

We face lots of risks in life however, fortunately these risks are incredibly low and you really needn't worry.

Oh hang on, are you flying here?
