Default Perth, continuation of Mitchell Freeway ?

Hi all,

Would I be right in thinking that the Mitchell Freeway will be going immediately to the right of Kinross ? Kinross is an area we like the look of, but now notice on realestate.com that there are lots of houses coming up for sale on the periphery on the right of Kinross.

Yes the mitchell will stop at Burns Beach Road. I don't think this is the reason for the house sales, there just appear to be a lot of houses for sale everywhere at the moment.

Won't it be going any further than Burns Beach Road, then ? A friend in Perth said he thought the plan was for it to keep on going.

It may eventually who knows. They may get some opposition to it though as I suspect it may have to cut through large portions of national park.

It is OK, a few members on here (Nickyjohnt) live there and like it. Still an affordable suburb too.

If you have a look at the UBD street directory it shows you proposed roads and rail lines in grey. I am fairly sure that when we looked at houses in Kinross 2 years ago we saw one or two cheaper than expected but when we looked at the map they would eventually be backing right on to the freeway / railway or Tamala Park refuse dump.

We rented on the far eastern edge of Currambine 18 months ago and as soon as the Burns Beach extension was announced a third of the houses on the other side of the road which are now presumably plagued with dust and noise from the construction work went on the market.
