Default Perth Areas??? - Kinross - Connely

HI THERE,

my wife are moving to perth in august 2003, we are currently researching areas to live

Kinross and connely seem to be our favorites reasons: close to city and joondalup, newish areas, close to beach and above all adfordable living. However affordable living raise some questions, are the areas any good.

Do kids hang round streets getting drunk etc - any dodgy council areas? u know what i mean!!!!!!!

Or do u know of other areas that would be nice to live in

We though - ocean reef - clarkson - illuka - mullaloo - belodn

we could get a mortgage for say 200000 and with our savings afford most areas (ie illuka)but that mean a burden or we could have a small mortgage of say 50000/100000 and live in a cheaper area (connelly/kinross)

Hope u can see our dilema CAN ANONE DICUSS OR DISCRIBE THE AREAS MENTIONED????

MANY THANKS

TAMBO!!!!!!!

If you want a beach area go 10 mins farther North Mindaire or Quinns forget Clarkson , Beldon , Kinross all the wrong side of the Marmion .
Beldon - Past its sell by date
Kinross - nice location next to city rubbish tip
Clarkson - Rough dump
Ocean Reef - good parts and average in places
Iluka- looked after because of extra charge on rates there
Mullaloo - varies beach front good forget the rest.

A locals view of the suburbian waste lands of Perth .

IN A typical suburb in Perth where life is not always perfect there is every prospect that offences will be committed. Some of these offences may be serious, including vehicle theft, assault, substance abuse and occasionally more serious ones against the residents of the community.

When confronted with these offences, which can occur in any Perth suburb, strategies and services and other community programs are introduced to try to make these suburbs safer and more law-abiding.

Do we close down these suburbs and evict the residents? No. Do we spend millions of dollars on some of the more troubled suburbs of Perth to try to improve them. Yes.

What do we do to an Aboriginal community such as the Swan Valley one? We close it down and evict the residents.

Good one, Dr Gallop, another brilliant example of how to empower indigenous people and to show them that we Westerners are really trying to right the years of wrongs that indigenous people have been subjected to. Great stuff, Dr Gallop.

ROB JONES, Midland.

Connelly is over priced and Currambine is patchy some good some very average., stick with beach side of the Marmion even if its a good walk to the beach , you will move and the best returns are coastal suburbs after the River.

Mindarie-Great Marina with Pub nice spot
Quinns- old and new part , is nice quiet coastal suburb used to be a holiday spot
Jindalee-not yet developed will be pricy
Brighton-the only part worth buying into is road going down to the sea in Jindalee

The marmion is the main road that divides the coastal suburbs from the rest , its also a suburb but very expensive.
